Georgiana Cibu

Georgiana returned to Romania after living in Spain for 13 years, where she also studied higher education in nursing at the University of Alcala De Henares, Madrid, Grado En Enfermeria, graduating in 2013. After a period as a nurse at the Centro Medical Saluddia in Madrid, Georgiana decided to return to the country. Georgiana chose to submit her CV to Dr. Holhoș Clinic, following a job advertisement. Her studies, experience, skills and impeccable conduct as a nurse made Georgiana become part of the Dr. Holhoș team starting 2015.

Her career path over the last few years has been determined and organic, and she soon became a senior nurse, a position from which she coordinated and supervised the entire team of nurses for 3 clinics, totaling almost 30 people.

Georgiana’s continuous improvement has meant attending numerous trainings, workshops and conferences, including ASCRS/ASOA ophthalmic training courses in the USA, including modules for the medical component (ophthalmological surgery, surgical innovations and investigations), and modules for clinic management (administration, human resources, legal and marketing) in 2018 and 2019. The training part is supplemented by participation in public speaking and leadership courses, taught by specialists in public relations and communication, and participation in the annual Ophthalmology Congress (SRO) especially in the sections dedicated to clinic staff and nurses. In addition to these, there are refresher courses conducted by Zeiss in Germany.

In a short period of time, her duties went beyond the medical sphere and became more and more administrative and managerial. Georgiana is currently the General Manager of the Dr. Holhos network, a position from which she fully coordinates all administrative, financial and human resources actions of the entire network of clinics and medical opticians’ practices.

Important note regarding patient consultations and surgery appointments

A patient who cancels a consultation or surgery appointment once, at least one day prior to the scheduled appointment, has the right to a second appointment under the same conditions.
If the patient cancels the second consultation and/or surgery appointment, a new appointment can be made only if the patient accepts to pay for both the consultation and the surgery in advance. This can be done either by payment order or in cash at the clinic reception.
A patient who does not show up for their consultation or surgery, who does not cancel the appointment in due time, or does not answer the clinic’s calls, may request a second appointment only if they pay for the consultation/surgery in advance. 
Patients requesting an appointment for retinal surgeries or laser Prk/Femtolasik/Smile Pro must pay 30% of the cost of the surgery in advance. The appointment will be scheduled only after receiving the advance payment. If the patient is unable to attend the scheduled consultation or surgery, and cancels the intervention at least 48 hours beforehand, they will be refunded in full. If the patient does not show up and does not cancel or contact the clinic at least 48 hours in advance, the advance paid is considered to be lost as damages and will no longer be refunded.
