Andra Holhoș
A graduate of the Hospital Management course at the National School of Public Health and Health Management in Bucharest, Andra is one of the founding members of the Dr. Holhoș network, together with Dr. Teodor Holhoș, network that includes ophthalmological surgery clinics and medical opticians’ practices in several counties. Andra has taken over the operational and financial management for all locations that constitute the Dr. Holhoș network.
A graduate in Literature (Spanish-English language and literature), with a Master’s degree in Business Development Management – English line, both at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca, Andra continued her studies to become a full professor of English and Spanish language and literature, with a 6-month scholarship in Spain, Universidad de Malaga, in the field of foreign languages.
The transition to the field of management has included specialist courses and participation in international ophthalmology congresses in the USA (2022 – Congress organized by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), Washington DC, USA, 2021 – Congress organized by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), Las Vegas, USA, 2021 – European Congress of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS), Amsterdam, Netherlands 2019 Congress organized by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), San Diego, and 2018 Congress organized by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), Washington DC), as well as at various workshops and specialist conferences in the country and abroad. These include ASCRS/ASOA courses in the USA, which include modules for the medical component and specific modules for clinic management (administration, human resources, legal and marketing), as well as completing public speaking and leadership courses sustained by public relations and communication specialists, plus attending the annual Ophthalmology Congress (SRO).
